Peer Leaders Leader: Mariela Medel The after school program uses Peer Leaders to plan and implement activities. To become a Peer Leader you must be in 7th—12th grade, maintain a grade average of “C” and be available after school one to three times per week
This is a one year program renewable each year by attending a Peer Leader Training week during the summer. A small stipend is earned by participants who attend the training and commit to joining the program.
The objective of this program is to give youth the opportunity to learn and put into practice skills that will be beneficial to them as they mature and move into the work force. Peer leaders are closely supervised and evaluations are given periodically.
