Grandparents Raising Grandkids
Leader: Terri Durham
Many grandparents today are faced with the responsibility of raising their grandchildren. They are faced with challenges such as legal and custody concerns, knowledge of at-risk issues for youth and having resources to deal with those challenges. Seeds of Hope is filling the gap between grandparents and the resources they need to be successful in raising the next generation.
By hosting meetings with guest speakers from the community ranging from police officers school officials, grandparents are becoming better equipped to handle the trials that they face. By increasing access to services that address specific concerns of grandparents, we are seeing families grow to be well educated in the fight against anti-social behaviors.
Seeds of Hope invites grandparents of all ages, races, and economical backgrounds to be a part of this program.
Meetings are held once a month. Contact our office for specific dates and times.
